We are now looking for two service officers for the Police Education Unit, located at the newly established police education at Uppsala University. We are looking for you who are service-oriented, structured, and highly flexible. 2 Positions

Job Description

We are looking for two individuals with different areas of responsibility. Both roles are central to ensuring the education runs smoothly and safely:

1. Uniform & Equipment Officer - Logistics and Service Focus

As the Uniform & Equipment Officer, you are the guarantor that our students have the correct equipment. You are responsible for the entire chain regarding police educational materials in Uppsala.

  • Main tasks: Logistics management, security, purchasing, and ordering.
  • Service and maintenance: Responsible for uniform issuance, repairs, and secure destruction of materials.

2. Vehicle Officer - Driver's License and Technical Interest Required

As the Vehicle Officer, you have full responsibility for the vehicle fleet at the police education in Uppsala. Without functioning vehicles, the education stops, making your role crucial.

  • Main tasks: Transporting vehicles to service workshops, conducting inspections, and changing tires.
  • Maintenance: Performing simple service and vehicle care, as well as handling purchases and orders of spare parts/accessories.

Service officers at all police educations work closely together and also work on improving processes regarding educational materials. You work daily in several different IT systems. During varied workdays, administration alternates with operational service work. Heavy lifting and uncomfortable working positions may occur. Your placement will be at the police education at Uppsala University. Some travel may occur, preferably in the local region, but nationwide travel may also be necessary depending on needs.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

  • Approved and completed upper secondary education.
  • Experience in work (recently) in intern service relevant to the position, preferably in a role where you frequently had physical meetings.
  • B-driver's license for manual cars and good driving experience.
  • Good competence in using and adapting to digital tools/IT systems.
  • Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

Meritorious:

  • Good competence in working with IT-based case management or business systems.
  • Relevant experience with vehicles that the employer deems equivalent.
  • Experience working with uniform management or clothing.
  • Experience working with authorization processing.

Personal Qualities

To thrive in the role, it is important that you have a high sense of service and keep the customer in focus. You need to have good communication and collaboration skills as we work closely together within the team and in cooperation with the agency. The work is event-driven, which places demands on your flexibility. You are self-reliant, structured, and good at prioritizing tasks, as well as having the ability to maintain your accuracy even in stressful situations.

Furthermore, you have the ability to see how your group's work contributes to the whole, as well as the desire to learn new things and contribute to developing and improving processes. We will place great emphasis on your personal qualities and suitability.
